The present music School was constructed in 1964, out of existing kitchens and storerooms and has always been rather cosy!
The School's music department, as befits a leading Cathedral School, has served King's with distinction over the past 40 years.
Generations of instrumentalists, organists (many with ARCO already attached) and Oxbridge Choral Scholars have emerged from the music school and, of course, it has been the setting of much fine music-making.
The time has come for a new made-to-measure music facility to house this proud, creative tradition.
Total construction costs £1.2 million.
